Our third workshop for natural buiding this year will take place in Larissa grove from the 28 of April to the 1st of May, during the 2nd Ecofestival that is organised by the municipality of Larissa. this time we will try to upgrade the surrounding area with various constructions.
We will built with adobe bricks, cob, waddle and daub, earthbags,and old rugs dipped in lime. We will be using clay and lime based plasters ( tadelakt).
Theory topics:
Clay and natural materials generally. How to recognise them, where to find them and how to process them.
Natural building techniques. Which are they and how to use them.
Natural roofs.
Floors of natural materials
Natural plsaters.
Natural paints.
I addittion, there will be parallel activities concerning energy and food sel-sufficienc like constructing and demonstrating corresponding devices, like solar ovens, stirling engines, solar dehydrators etc.
Date: ΑFrom the afternoon of Friday 28 of April to the afternoon of Monday first of May.
Location: Larissa grove where the ecofestival will be takiing place.
Accomodation: In tents in the grove.
Equipment: ΕApart from a working uniform of your choice, you will be needing waterproof plastic boots, raincoat, tent, carremate and a sleeping bag.
Diet: Bio-vegeterian
Participation fee: 75€ per persons, food and accomodation included.
